Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically comprising eleven players each, that involves advancing a ball into the opposing team’s goal to score points. The primary objective is to score more goals than the opponent. It is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. Players primarily use their feet to move the ball, although they can use other parts of their bodies except for the arms and hands, which are restricted to the goalkeeper within their penalty area. Football is characterized by its rules, often referred to as the Laws of the Game, which govern various aspects such as fouls, offside, and scoring. The sport has numerous variations, the most popular being association football, also known as soccer in some countries, as well as American football, Canadian football, and others. Football is one of the most widely played and followed sports globally, fostering a significant cultural and social impact.
