Women’s Health

Women’s Health refers to the branch of health care that focuses specifically on the physical, mental, and reproductive health issues unique to women. It encompasses a wide range of topics including but not limited to reproductive health (such as menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause), breast health, gynecological health, hormonal health, and preventive care such as screenings for breast and cervical cancers. Women’s Health also addresses issues related to mental health, chronic conditions that disproportionately affect women, and the impact of societal and cultural factors on women’s health outcomes. The goal of women’s health is to improve the healthcare experiences and outcomes for women through comprehensive research, education, and tailored health care services.
